Safeguarding is central to all aspects of TutorOne’s work. All staff, tutors, and associates are required to adhere to our safeguarding policies and professional conduct expectations at all times.

Safer Recruitment & Vetting

TutorOne operates a robust safer recruitment process to ensure that all tutors engaged by the organisation are suitable to work with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

 

Our recruitment and vetting procedures include:

 

• Enhanced DBS checks (with barred list check where required)
• Verification of identity and right to work
• Qualification and experience checks
• Professional references
• Safeguarding training and induction
• Ongoing monitoring and quality assurance

 

Tutors are not permitted to commence any work until all safeguarding checks have been completed and formal authorisation has been granted.

 

Safeguarding Training

All tutors and staff engaged by TutorOne receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role. This includes:

• Understanding of professional boundaries
• Reporting and escalation of concerns
• Online safety and appropriate use of technology

Safeguarding training is refreshed regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory guidance and best practice.

 

Reporting & Escalation of Concerns

TutorOne maintains clear procedures for reporting safeguarding concerns. Any concern relating to the welfare of a learner must be reported immediately in line with our safeguarding policy.

 

Concerns are escalated internally to the designated safeguarding lead and, where appropriate, to relevant external agencies including local authorities and safeguarding partners.

 

TutorOne is committed to transparency and cooperation with local authority safeguarding oversight.

Professional Boundaries.

TutorOne maintains strict professional boundaries at all times. Tutors are required to:

 

• Operate only within authorised tuition arrangements
• Maintain appropriate professional conduct
• Avoid any form of physical intervention or restraint
• Communicate through approved channels only

Any breach of professional boundaries is treated as a serious matter and may result in immediate termination of engagement.
